About TTS Website Agency

The Story Begins

We started out like many of you: with an answer to The Question. “Hey, can you do X?”

Saying yes to that first freelance project led to a branding agency in 2009. Clients began asking for websites, and we delivered, eventually pivoting to become a website agency in 2020.

After years of experimentation, we have found our sweet spot: process-focused, design-eye web development and support for consultants and creators selling services.

BOOM.

Computer screen displaying a website with the text "renew. refresh. restyle." and an image of a decorated dining room. The site menu includes About, Fashion, Interior Decorating, and Contact.
A person holds a smartphone displaying a website with the headline, "What got you here is now breaking everything else," in front of a blurred laptop showing the same site.

After existing as cyclone press for 14 years, we rebranded to Tiny Thunder Studio in 2025.

"Tiny Thunder" has been Sarah’s nickname since her bass guitar playing days a decade ago, but as a business name it’s a reference to our clients: solopreneur consultants, small business owners, and multifaceted creators who rarely fit in a single box.

Talented individuals with delightfully tiny teams can—and do—create an outsized impact on the world. We’re here to make sure of it. How?

We package your expertise into a clean, well-designed website that makes it easy for your clients to say yes, and for you to manage the next steps.

We'd love to give you the confidence for the next stage of your entrepreneurial journey. Request a free website audit or schedule a discovery call to get started.

Founded by Sarah Schumacher in 2009, we are a small team that expands to meet project needs.

In addition to the awesome folks below, we pull in SEO, automation, and other specialists, because we live in a world where it’s impossible for one person to know all the things, so we will find the one person who knows your thing.

Founder / Creative Strategist

  • Explaining Tech to Normal People

    0%

Always a design and tech-minded tinkerer, Sarah built her first website in high school to share guitar chord charts (alas, no copy of this HTML relic exists). She pursued design as a career, specifically in the print industry (business cards forever), before pivoting to website design/development and realizing it was the perfect intersection of her skills: end-in-mind planning, technical strategy, and extreme attention to detail and optimization. Over the past two decades she has personally handled every component of building 100+ websites, multiple MVPs (Minimum Viable Product), invented a product/cofounded a tech startup, and gotten really tired.

At TTS, Sarah personally handles all bizdev, sales, strategic/process consulting and design finesse on client projects (you won’t see it, but you’ll know it’s there).

As a multipotentialite, Sarah is never not juggling 5 wildly different books, the current mixed media painting in progress, writing of her biweekly newsletter, cohosting and producing the Founder Problems podcast, and fending off whatever new idea is lurking around the corner.

A proud Kansas City native, she can often be found at networking events around town, and is always ready to help local founders get plugged into the entrepreneur ecosystem + connect with other awesome humans doing good work.

From writing, Xiao's SEO journey expanded into front-end design, on-site optimization to handling the meticulous backend configurations. Her goal has always been creating websites and content loved by search engines and the human audience.

At TTS, Xiao brings her entrepreneurial management skills to the team as Project Manager, while occasionally lending a hand to the day-to-day website tasks for existing clients.

As a multi-disciplinary artist, curator, and critical writer, Xiao's energy outside of office hour is fully dedicated to her visual art practicewriting new essays and art reviews, or making jewelry inspired by her Chinese heritage and love for anime and period drama.
